Explore Southern California
Who says you can’t travel locally and that some of your favorite places to visit can’t be where you’re from? Being born and raised in Southern California, I have been able to visit so many amazing and beautiful places. Maybe I’m biased, but I truly think Southern California is one of the most beautiful and amazing places in the world. We have year round great weather, a mix of city, mountains, the snow and the beach and there is something for everyone. After much travel in my city and the areas surrounding me, I have put together my top 3 favorite places to visit in Southern California.
Location #1: Laguna Beach
Laguna Beach has become a home away from home for me. I go there at least twice a year and have made some of my best memories there. Laguna is only two hours away max from Los Angeles but it has a completely different vibe. This small beach town is the perfect mx of casual and classy. There are beautiful home, a ton of options for empty beaches and cute local stores. It’s a place I go to to do nothing and it’s perfect for just that. When I go, I always stay at the Montage Hotel and I highly recommend saving up and going there sometime too!
Location #2: Malibu
Malibu is somewhere I grew up, spent all of my summers in, had one of my first jobs in, and still manages to be one of my favorite places to visit to date. These days, Malibu has become such a touristy neighborhood but it wasn’t always this way. My favorite places to visit when I go are Nobu Malibu, Malibu Country Mart, Taverna Tony and Tra Di Noi. Malibu has my absolute favorite restaurants and shopping. It is perfect and so picturesque.
Location #3: Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara is the perfect day trip from Los Angeles. It’s an hour drive from where I live max and it’s such a relaxing day away. There’s the Santa Barbara Zoo which is fun to see, great little shops, and they’re known for great wine tours.
