My Go-To LA Workout Spots
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know that I am super into fitness. Starting my day with a great workout not only energizes me, but it also makes me feel like I can conquer anything on my to-do list. And while Matt and I love working out together, I also love nothing more than popping into a class solo or with my girlfriends. Lucky for me, LA is full of some of the best classes and instructors, so it’s pretty easy to get – and feel – fit in this city.

Eden by Eden Sassoon Pilates
109 North La Cienega Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211
Located in the heart of Beverly Hills, this studio is not only warm and inviting, but it’s gorgeous, too. It reminds me a bit of being in New York, which if you’ve followed me for a while, than you know I love! I absolutely loved the last teacher I took at this studio (her name is Ariel) – the workout was intense, challenging, and dramatic, but I also loved that there was a focus on stretching and toning, too. If you’re looking for a classical Pilates class with a twist, definitely stop by this studio for a class – you’ll love it.
2570 Lincoln Blvd, Venice, CA 90291
Modo yoga is a more recent go-to of mine. The room is hot and humid, which helps get my inflexible self super flexible, and while the idea of an extremely hot room sounds awful, the heat actually forces me to be super present and it has become a form of meditation for me. When I enter the room, I have no choice but to be present in the moment and I leave feeling more centered. This class to me is more about the mindfulness and getting myself centered than it is about the work out, even though I happen to get a good work out in as well.
8270 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90046
I have to be honest here – I’ve never been a big yoga person. That said, Y7 classes offer
everything that yoga’s about like posture, stretching, breath, and movement. The best part? Y7 classes are carefully choreographed to some of the coolest music in the game, which differentiates it from other yoga classes I’ve tried in the past. The music is so good, it’s what keeps me coming back time and time again (not to mention it makes the classes go by so quickly which I love!).
1106 N La Cienega Blvd #101-104, West Hollywood, CA 90069
Each Barry’s class is designed for efficiency, so each interval tones, burns, and keeps your heart rate pumping. Classes burn up to 1,000 calories by combining weight training with cardio and aerobic exercise…and because I’m not a big runner, this forces me to get in some weekly cardio bursts. The teachers at this studio are awesome and so is the music. The energy I have after these classes is amazing – you’ll break a sweat like you never have before and your legs will literally be shaking as you walk out of class!
