It’s 2017! A new year, a continued you.
As I sit and reflect on this past year, looking forward into 2017 and hoping to identify what my goals are, I realized that we (or I) never take time as much time as deserved to just sit and appreciate what has been done and accomplished — or even what hasn’t been but that has been worked toward — before rushing toward the “what now?” and “what’s next?” This year, I want to take a moment to appreciate and acknowledge what has been done this year because 2016 has been great, and then integrate that amazing year into continued growth for 2017.
This year I’ve pushed so many limits. I’ve practiced being an introverted extrovert. Thanks to that, I’ve learned that being uncomfortable isn’t a bad thing and you meet a lot of incredible people along the way from putting yourself out there. I’ve learned to ask for what I want even when it feels fake or annoying because although there’s a lot of no’s or ignore’s, you get some meaningful yes’ along the way. I’ve learned to really stand for what I believe in because the universe has a funny way of making things work, and I’ve been reminded of quality over quantity (in any and every way you want to interpret that). There have been many little amazing details along the way, but those are my main 2016 takeaways.
Going into 2017, I hope to continue this growth. I hope to continue working on being fearless and putting myself out there because that is the only way we grow. I hope to inspire you and always look at the glass half full and to keep my vision alive. I hope to travel somewhere new and meet more amazing people.
