Comfort is key when getting dressed — especially on Monday, or a busy running around day. Not every day can be heels and dresses, but everyone wants to feel as good and confident about themselves and how they look even on the days where they’re not so dressed up. Being that I love dressing casual and comfortable, I’ve figured out 3 subtle steps to dress up your casual, comfortable outfit without looking overdone.
Step 1: Add a statement sunglass. Sunglasses like these cat eye one’s really pull an outfit together quickly. The cat eye shape is such a statement that they really speak for themselves.
Step 2: Accessorize. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy, but by adding these Bauble Bar earrings, it made my outfit a little more interesting and put together than if I had left them off.
Step 3: Pick a basic top with a little “something” to it. Whether it’s a ruffle, pattern, or color… just having a little something extra to your top makes your outfit feel that much more put together. This Madewell top is a great option because it can be worn so many different ways — it actually has a matching skirt that makes a super cute set.
With those 3 things, this vintage, casual comfortable shoe and denim becomes way more elevated and can be worn as a dressed up look. Still too casual for you? Throw on a pair of kitten heels for a comfortable, yet still casual day time look.
