Let’s Talk About Hair
Who doesn’t love a good hair day? I personally don’t know anyone who can’t agree with this statement. Guys, girls… literally everyone. With a good hair day, you stand a little taller and feel a little better, and, even better if on that day you didn’t have to do much to your hair. Am I right?!
I personally am someone who is all about less is more. When it comes to face products, make up, hair, really anything…Less. Is. More. I think if something is actually good you shouldn’t have to do much to it. So, now, let me tell you about both mine and Matt’s hair because these products have helped both of us and we have such different hair.
About My Hair
I always say I was blessed with fairly easy hair because I truly don’t know how to do much to it. Beyond a few simple waves (which I only learned how to do myself in the last year or two) and a pony, I can’t do much. Truthfully, I can’t even properly blow dry my hair. I can rough dry it, which literally anyone can do, but if you give me a round brush to add in there, I’ll just end up tangling my head into one big dread lock. I do have a lot of hair, which can get heavy when you’re trying to style it and will fall flat faster than others. Otherwise, my hair is normal. It’s not too oily or too dry and it’s easy to maintain. Most days I just air dry it. I only get my hair cut 2-3 times a year and color my hair once a year.
What I look for in a product: something that will help add volume to my hair, hydrate, and smooth it while at the same time texturizing it.
About Matt’s Hair
Did you read what I wrote about my hair above? Well, take that information and flip it to the opposite. Matt and I have polar opposite hair types. His hair is thin, alternative between wavy and curly, and can get frizzy. Finding the right products for him has been a journey.
What Matt looks for in a product: something that holds his hair in place all day, adds volume and texture while smoothing it.
Our Solution That Works
Knowing all of this, while not wanting to crowd our bathroom with products even more than it already is, we were so excited when we found a few products that actually worked for both of our hair types. Not only is it convenient, but it’s really fun to be able to share products with each other.
Products That Works:
- Not Your Mother’s Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner
