My Favorite LA Nail Salons
It’s no secret that I love a good mani/pedi. In fact, to me, there’s nothing better. But while I am known to pop in to a plain old regular nail salon when I’m on a time crunch, I prefer to support my local boutique salons, especially the ones that offer extra bonuses like cool décor, nail art, organic, non-toxic polishes, and more.
Read on for a roundup of my favorite LA nail salons.
Côte is located right down the street from me, which gives it extra points in my book. I love that I can walk over for a non-toxic manicure and pedicure in a super-clean environment. In fact, all of the polishes (there are over 100!) they use at the salon are free from the major toxins and allergens that are often associated with nail polish. The salon boutique is also absolutely adorable, with everything from unique greeting cards to home décor and jewelry.
Olive & June
If you haven’t been to Olive & June yet, you’re missing out. To start, the salon décor is absolutely stunning – I find myself getting home décor ideas every time I step in for a mani/pedi. Next, it’s incredibly clean and organized. I love how their polishes are organized by color and brand on the wall – it makes finding a shade so easy. Their nail art is another story – check out their Instagram page for a sneak peek at what their technicians can really do. Olive & June has a few locations in LA, so wherever you live, there should be a salon nearby.
Bellacures has a few locations in LA, and I’ve had great experiences at all of them. While they offer a super-basic mani/pedi, something I really love is their Special of the Month. Every month, based on the holiday or season, the salon offers a special treatment for a limited time. This month, for example, the salon has a “Bewitching Blackberry” treatment, which is complete with a blackberry warm soak, sea salt scrub, and blackberry butter massage. I don’t always do it, but when I do, it’s an extra-special treat. Oh, and their prices are reasonable, too.
The first time I tried tenoverten was in New York, and I fell in love. So when I found out the ladies behind this salon opened a Culver City location, I knew I had to try it. The salon has their own brand of polish, which is free of allergens and chemicals that are common in other polishes. The unique shades are absolutely gorgeous and long-lasting. I love that it’s located at Platform LA because I’m able to get in some shopping before and after, too!
A few of my girlfriends recommended this spot for a no-frills mani that’s made to last. The salon actually only offers manicures, but their nail artists are highly skilled and their customizable menu is made to fit whatever your style may be. The prices are fair, the products are non-toxic, and their manicures honestly last longer than most. I’m not big on extravagant nail art, but I thought I would mention that they offer up some super-cool extras like foil, studs, glitter, gems, and so much more.
What are your favorite local nail salons? I’m always on the hunt for new spots to try!
