Picking a wedding destination is a big decision and an important one. Your wedding is a day that, hopefully, will only happen once and there is a lot of pressure to find the “perfect” place. After looking at a few locations and considering a lot, Matt and I finally found the place that feels right to us.
What To Do To Help You Find Your Destination
Creating a checklist is super helpful to simplify your wedding destination search. Matt and I talked about what was most important to us on our wedding and in a wedding destination. From there, we started a hunt. We thought about where, how many people we wanted, the vibe, etc.
How To Know If Your Destination Is Right
How did we know that our location was “the one”? It might sound cliche, but we just knew. We had a mental list of what we wanted from our original talk when we started the search, and as we started to look at different venues, it became really clear. We saw a couple places that could be great and checked off lots from our list, we saw a couple places that we hated and really didn’t meet our needs, but ultimately, when we arrived at this final venue, it was a feeling that Matt and I both got more than anything. It felt similarly to how our relationship feels, which is right. We got there and both felt like it was exactly what we had been looking for and couldn’t imagine our day anywhere else and I think that’s when you know your destination is right.
